Here is the bottom line. We buy most of our birds and the margin is thin. For the Boss, (wife) to put up with this we must sell at least 10 birds a hunt/day. You can book a hunt with a great competitor in the area and the cost is going to be between $45 to $50 per rooster pheasant (depending on volume) and $35 to $40 per hen pheasant (guide fees are extra). These are fair prices and as I stated before these are class operations.
We charge $45.00 to $50 for Roosters and $35.00 to $40.00 for hens because we cannot afford to charge less. However, our packages offer something extra. We are going to make sure you have a great time. We are going to ensure that every member of your group has a great time. If you do not, you do not pay.
We have the best cover in the industry, and we pride ourselves on putting a hunt together for you that is as close to the “wild bird hunt” you desire.
If you need an extra gun, we have it. If your dog is not on his game, we have one to loan you. Tracking or training collar not working? We have one. If you have a problem with the performance of your dog, we will evaluate it. We help you clean your birds. We make sure the coffee is hot. We will make sure young hunters make memories.
We will offer 2 different PUNCH CARDS this season. One is for 50 roosters, the other for 30 roosters and 30 hens in each package. 10 bird minimum release. Call us for pricing, they are good for one calendar year unless otherwise stated.

Pheasant hunts:
• Non-Guided: 10 Roosters up to two hunters—up to two youth (under 16) no additional charge* $500 half day hunt. Additional birds: Roosters $40.00, Hens $35.00
• Guided: 10 Roosters ½ day for up to two hunters –up to two youth (under 16) no additional charge * $600.00. Half day and includes lunch.
• Non-Guided: 6 Roosters and 6 Hen’s half day hunt up two hunters –up to two youth (under 16) no additional charge* -- $550.00 available when full packages have been booked. Call for availability.
• Guided: 10 Roosters and 8 Hens full day—up to two shooters, $950. On youth* (under 16) no additional charge*includes lunch--- Additional birds, $40.00 per Rooster, $35.00 per hen .
Chukar:
• Non-Guided: 14 chukar up to two hunters—up to two youth (under 16) no additional charge* $550.00 ½ day hunt. Additional birds $30.00.
• Guided: 14 chukar up to two hunters ½ day hunt–$650.00. Up to two youth (under 16) no additional charge *. ½ day and includes lunch. Full day guided hunt 28 chukars $1050.00 Additional birds $30.00
• Non-Guided: 14 Chukar ½ day hunt up two hunters –up to two youth (under 16) no additional charge* -- available when full packages have been booked. Additional birds $30 per bird. Call for availability.
• Guided: 12 Hen’s ½ day— up to two shooters $550.00, On youth* (under 16) no additional charge*includes lunch. Additional birds $30.00 per bird
Mixed Bag:
We will mix and match birds to meet your needs. For example, 5 roosters can be combined with 10 chukar for a half day hunt. Fee would be $625.00.
We will also add chukar to pheasant hunts or pheasant to chukar hunts.
Quail:
We offer a limited number of hunts for hard flying, flight conditioned Bobwhite quail. This is an all- day hunt for up to 4 hunters. $1050.00.
This can be a guided hunt for an additional $250.00. (Guide may use more than two dogs)
40 quail are released as multiple coveys. You will have exclusive use of a hunt area. You may return to the headquarters at any time and take a break or have lunch and resume your hunt. If you encounter birds other than quail you may harvest them. If there are hold over quail from previous hunts you may harvest them.
A word about our guides and dogs:
Our guides are hunters. The dogs they often compete in National Shoot to Retrieve Association field trials and/or American Kennel Club and/or American Field walking trials.
These are hard charging dogs. They may work 400-500 yards in front of you but they will find birds and they will hold birds.
The tendency for hunters, who are not accustomed to this sort of dog work, is to get nervous and rush to the dog. The guide will tell you when you might need to hurry but there is NEVER any running in the bird field.
Even the best dogs make mistakes. If a dog is bumping or blowing birds out of the field we will make it right.
OTHER SERVICES:
Dog evaluation:
When we have booked hunts, we can schedule a time to evaluate your bird dog. Bring your dog out and we will set up situations to see what your dog can do and where it might need a “tune-up.”
You pay only for the birds used in the valuation.
Classes:
We offer a bird hunting class. This class consists of four sessions and is held over three months. It starts with an evaluation of you and your dog (if you have one). The first session is held in Republic, Washington at the start of the grouse season.
During the first session you and a partner, spouse, child or hunting partner, will evaluate your shooting, dog and other aspects of upland hunting. You will hunt grouse and learn about upland game bird hunting opportunities in Washington. Subsequent sessions will be designed to provide field experiences to hunt quail, pheasant, chukar and Hungarian partridge.
The cost to attend this class is $5,000 per couple. Enrollment is limited to 6 couples. Each group will have four weekend field experiences.
PUPS AND TRAINED BIRD DOGS
From time to time we might have a great bird dog pup prospect not already spoken for so it might be available to become the new bird dog in your home.
We also have started and trained dogs available for sale, and we network with people that do. Nothing beats trying out a bird dog doing the real deal (or thing.)!
